What Communications Looked Like Before
Client-facing communications, release notes, and other materials were regularly built in Word, where content authors sent out PDF attachments to communicate product updates.
Instead of relying on these outdated methods, I worked with our Chief Client Officer, product managers, and marketing team to build a template system inside of our own CMS (the same one our clients use) that let authors write directly into a structured, on-brand format, publishing consistent communications across every channel from a single source.
Beyond an updated look and feel, the primary goals were to:
- move authors off Word docs and PDF attachments into our own CMS, using the same platform we build for clients
- provide multi-formatted versions (PDF, web and email) to customers for simplified sharing downstream
- publish from a single source across every channel instead of maintaining separate versions per format
- bring a unified visual identity and format to our official communications to establish trust, reliability and professionalism among our customers

Practicing What We Preach: Scaling Internal Comms
What used to require hours of manual formatting now happens automatically, ensuring every communication stays on-brand by default. This consistency built customer trust while giving internal teams a unified system, eliminating the need to reinvent layouts for every send. It also proved the power of our CMS, allowing us to run our own communications on the exact product our clients rely on daily.
