Company website redesign

Highlighting market expertise for improved product communication & impact

BlueMatrix

Role: Lead Designer & Developer

Overview

BlueMatrix was in need of a more robust company website to reflect its evolution while unveiling a new corporate logo and visual identity. As the firm has grown since its inception in 1999, it has evolved into a versatile framework for clients to leverage their digital content strategy.

Goal

In addition to an updated look & feel, some of the primary goals of the redesign were to:

  • Restructure how we market investment research products
  • Reposition market expertise to attract new industries
  • Introduce insights page, client logos and icons/graphics for products for increased brand trust and authenticity

Discovery

I translated early discussions between design and marketing teams into low-fidelity wireframes. A version of these were then used to visualize how the text-heavy content would fit into each page and how we might balance it with other visual elements.

Moodboards, graphics, and mockups

A fellow designer and I developed mood boards, design systems, and core visual elements, presenting regularly to company leadership to ensure alignment on the overall vision. We incorporated feedback from stakeholders across the organization, including the CEO, Sales, and Product leads.

After design approval, I led the development and implementation of all webpages, building functionality for forms, authentication flows, and blog publishing.

Results

The outcome of this project was a success thanks to the many teams involved and their ability to work together and prioritize tasks. The redesign and implementation included significant improvements in accessibility, SEO, and performance. The success of this project was thanks to several teams including Design, Development, Marketing, Sales, Product and Management.

I just want to reiterate how great of a job everyone in our design team (and other teams) did with the website. I know it was a lot of work, but the result is clean, stylish, bug-free, performant and appropriate for our industry. We've all heard a lot of positive comments so far."
